Fire Damage Restoration is a complex process due to the unique behavior of smoke. Our trained technicians can test to determine whether it was a low heat smoldering fire causing wet smoke or a high heat fast burning fire leaving behind dry smoke. A protein smoke is practically invisible, however it discolors paints and has an extremely pungent odor, which will increase with time. A furnace puff back causes a residue known as fuel oil soot. Immediate Smoke Clean up by FLOOD SUPPORT will begin the fire damage recovery process. Call FLOOD SUPPORT and let the Fire Damage Restoration Experts take over 1-877-71-FLOOD OR 1-877-713-5663
• 24 HOUR MOLD DAMAGE REMEDIATION & REMOVAL SERVICE

FLOOD SUPPORT believes the first step is a comprehensive inspection of the moldy home or building to assess the extent of the problem. FLOOD SUPPORT uses a non-toxic, environmentally safe enzyme technology to treat microbial growth. Mold damage must always be removed and a thorough bio-washing of the underlying floor must be performed to prevent further mold spreading. Our technology is applied with equipment which treats the air, surfaces, wall cavities & HVAC systems.
If building materials are compromised FLOOD SUPPORT will remove these areas. FLOOD SUPPORT follows all guidelines during remediation and treatment. All of our personnel is trained and equipped with proper personal protective equipment . Compromised building materials will be sealed and bagged. All contaminated areas will be treated, including air, surfaces and HVAC system. The entire contaminated area will be HEPA vacuumed . • 24 HOUR CARPET WATER DAMAGE RESTORATION SERVICE
FLOOD SUPPORT understands carpet, especially wall-to-wall carpeting, can be a reservoir for hidden mold, mite fecal, pet dander, rodent dander, fecals & dust bacteria and other irritants even though you can not see anything on the carpet. Here are some warning signs that carpeting may be a present or potential problem in a building or home. Carpets Which Are Visibly Moldy, these need to be discarded, Carpets That Have Been Wet, such as by basement flooding, a plumbing leak or a roof leak. If wall to wall carpeting has been wet it probably should be removed and disposed of. will remove wet carpeting and clean it for reinstallation. If wet carpet is removed and cleaned with 24-48 hours it might have a chance. Area rugs can often be cleaned and salvaged. If carpet was wet and stayed wet it's ruined. At this point a thorough bio-washing of the underlying floor with mildecides, fungicides and anti-microbial is necessary to disinfect the area of any bacteria carried by the water flow. Carpets Over Wet Padding, or carpets, padding, and tack strips which are water stained or moldy indicating that water or condensation has been present below the carpet. Carpets In Basements-or located on floors below grade such as in a split level homes particularly in areas where there are periods of high humidity history or wide temperature swings in a building likely to produce condensation. Carpets Exposed To High Pet Traffic, are likely to have a high level of animal dander and depending on the building humidity history, almost always have a high level of mite fecal and other allergens-this is not a mold problem, but is still a problem, especially for people who are asthmatic or allergic to pets. Hidden mold in and under wall to wall carpeting is notorious and widespread in areas which have been subject to wet conditions such as basement or floors on leaky slabs. Immediate Carpet Water Removal by FLOOD SUPPORTwill begin the wet carpet water damage restoration process. • 24 HOUR WOOD FLOOR DRYING & RESTORATION SERVICE
FLOOD SUPPORT feels wood floors can really make or break a home's appearance. FLOOD SUPPORT works fast to reverse the severe water damage to wet hardwood floors caused by flooding or surprise leaks. In most cases a wet hardwood floor can be saved if the wood floor drying process is begun before the wet wood floor begins to buckle. When dealing with any wood floor water loss, a fast response time is a critical factor in mitigating the loss, and it is especially important in the case of wet hardwood floors. The longer they are wet, the greater chance that buckling will occur. When water is left on a wood floor, or if excessive moisture rises rises from below the wet sub floor, it becomes trapped between the wet wood floor and the wet sub floor. Cupping will occur when the top of the wet wood floor dries faster than the bottom of the wet wood floor or when the moisture is absorbed by the underside and causes it to expand, raising the edges. The biggest mistake that can be made is to sand the wet wood floor flat while it is still retaining moisture. This leaves the wet wood floor with thinner edges than the center. FLOOD SUPPORTuses a combination of CFM and static pressure to literally force water out of damaged wet hardwood floors. High velocity air-flow is directed into the flutes between the wet flooring and the wet sub floor. This way the wet wood floor actually dries from the bottom up. can dry out a wet hardwood floor in as little as 3 days! By drying it fast from beneath, cupping and associated refinishing costs can be reduced or eliminated. Call and let the Wet Wood Floor Drying & Damage Restoration Experts take over

Preparing for a flood is very important, but you should also prepare for handling the aftermath of the storm. Flood damage is a like a time bomb, and to prevent mold or structural damage you must do everything you can to quickly and concisely and as soon as possible. To help you learn how to handle this situation, we’ve put together this list of what to do after a household flood. 1. Do Not Re-Enter After leaving the flooded home, do not re-enter until trained emergency workers tell you it is safe. Floodwaters can harm or damage the foundation of your home and make it an unsafe structure to reenter. 2. Take Caution When Eating Don’t eat or drink anything that has been in contact with flood water. Flood water can and usually does contain unsanitary materials and residue which is not safe to ingest. 3. Remove Water Blockage If you put sandbags or other blocks around your home to keep water out, remember they may also be holding water in after the flood. If the structure is safe, open windows, doors, and remove blocks to let some water out. Only approach or touch flood water or flooded areas in proper attire, (gloves, mask, boots, water proof jacket, goggles, etc). 4. Flood Insurance If you had flood insurance, don’t move or touch anything until you’ve contacted them. This is because they must come and observe and assess the damage in its original state. Also be sure not to throw out anything that should be checked by the insurance associates as well. 5. Take Pictures As hard as it is, having thorough documentation of the flood is likely to come in handy. Go throughout the home and take pictures of any and all flood-damaged areas. Check ceilings, walls, and floors diligently to make sure you don’t miss a thing. 6. Watch The Kids It is imperative not to let children play or touch anything that floodwater has. Even if the floodwater resigns from an area, that area still has infectious bacteria that are dangerous to you and yours. Be sure to sit children down and thoroughly discuss and explain the dangers of floods, floodwater and the aftermath. 7. If You Must Leave If for any reason you need to leave your flood-damaged home (to go to a hotel, friends, or get something to eat) be sure to secure the house before you leave. Lock all windows and doors, and try to cover up and holes or unstable structure. Although it’s regrettable, looters have been known to target flooded areas for undamaged materials in unsupervised homes. 8. Call A Professional If you’re unsure about the water damage to your home or have water still residing in the basement or other area, call in some help. Water damage specialists can help you with a multitude of things from assessing damage, to removing water, to cleaning up the mess it leaves. Your insurance may even pay for this work as it’s preventive work that could save them money. Contact Us
